When travelling in the city, choosing the bus or subway is the most reasonable method. The bus is not only cheap but it also guaranteed to be on time. However, if you don't know Chinese, learning about bus routes can be difficult. Therefore, we recommend that you should use the metro (or taxi) instead of the bus.

Where should we travel in Kaohsiung?

Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum

When coming to Kaohsiung, you can't miss the special destiation Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, which has the tallest Buddha statue in the world. Right from the entrance gate, you will be overwhelmed by the beauty and magnificence if this large Buddhist building on an area of 100 hectares. The center of this place is a 108m high bronze Buddha statue, next to it are 8 beautiful stupas.

Majestic building and a very beautiful place to view displays and exhibits related to Buddha. Even for non buddhists like us, the place was nice to visit and informative. The whole Fo Guang Shan area would require almost a day to visit and walk around. Even the grounds are beautiful.

Ai He (Love River)

Ai He is translated as "Love River." Love River runs through the middle of Kaohsiung, Taiwan's port city.
